IOWA CITY - As the Iowa mens basketball team prepares for its summer tour of Rome and Greece, Sophomore Anthony Tucker will be assuming a new role, point guard.
Tucker is known primarily as a shooter and scorer, but with Jeff Peterson and Jake Kelly transferring the Hawkeyes are thin at point, which leaves Tucker as the man.
AT played in just 14 games last year due to academic issues, but he and Head Coach Todd Lickliter told KCRG on Tuesday that Anthony is in great shape not only in the classroom but on the court as well.
The Hawkeyes leave Friday for Rome and Greece where they will play 4 exhibition games.
