CENTRAL CITY - Records are made to be broken, but in Central City one family is happy a certain record is staying in the family.

Central City Sophomore Justin Kerscher recently put his name in the wildcat record books. Kerscher broke the school's long jump record by 2 inches jumping 20 feet 10 and 3 quarter inches.
The previous record was 28 years old...The previous owner, his father, Marc.

Marc knew his son would eventually break his record, but just not this soon. The interesting thing is that the record stood for 28 years without anyone else breaking it, until now.

I think its safe to say the Kerscher's own the long jump in Central City.
