Cedar Rapids-The Linn-Mar Lions sent a loud message to the rest of the state Tuesday night. They beat second ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy 79-48 on the Cougar's home court. It was Kennedy's first loss of the season.

Linn-Mar jumped to an early lead and never looked back. The Lions led 38-17 at halftime and rolled to the 31 point victory.

Zach Bohannon led the Lions with 25 points. Nate Hutcheson chipped in with 13. Jake Hughes was high for Kennedy with 11 points.



Both teams are 19-1 and both have one more regular season game before they hit the tournament trail.
