Hawks, Clones and Panthers selected in NFL draft

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Three Hawkeyes, two Cyclones and two
Panthers have been selected in the NFL draft.
All seven selections came in the third through sixth rounds
today (Sunday) after no players from the state were picked in the
first two rounds on Saturday.
Iowa cornerback Charles Godfrey went first, taken by the
Carolina Panthers in the third round with the 67th overall pick.
Hawkeye defensive end Kenny Iwebema (Ih-WEB'-uh-muh) was taken
in the fourth round by Arizona, the 116th pick overall, and Iowa
linebacker Mike Humpal was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers with
the 188th overall pick.
Iowa State linebacker Alvin Bowen was chosen in the fifth round
by Buffalo, the 147th pick overall, and ISU nosetackle Ahtyba
(A-TOO'-buh) Rubin was drafted by Cleveland in the sixth round with
the 190th overall pick.
Northern Iowa guard Chad Reinhart was selected by the Washington
Redskins in the third round, the 96th player taken in the draft.
Another Panther guard, Brandon Keith, was drafted in the seventh
round by Arizona, with the 225th overall pick. And former Cedar Rapids Washington star Adrian Arrington was also selected in the 7th round by the New Orleans Saints.
