DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) _ Cornerback Amari Spievey has rejoined Iowa's football team.

Spievey was a redshirt member of the Hawkeyes in 2006, but he transferred to Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge to get his grades in order.

Spievey, who signed a letter of intent with the Hawkeyes this week, has three years of eligibility left.

He should have a chance to compete for starting job. Iowa is losing both their starting corners -- Charles Godfrey and Adam Shada -- to graduation.
