Storm Victim Talks to President Bush on Governor Chet Culver's Cell Phone

Iowa's Governor Chet Culver passes the phone to a woman who lost her home in Sunday's tornado in Parkersburg. She had a chance to speak to President Bush on the governor's cell phone Monday.

(PARKERSBURG) - Governor Chet Culver is asking President Bush for fast action from the federal government. On Monday, he also asked President Bush to talk directly to a storm survivor.

Sharon Shipper lost her home and so did her daughter and son. He passed over the phone during a tour through damage in Parkersburg so that the president could say hello.

Governor Chet Culver toured through Parkersburg, Aplington, New Hartford and Dunkerton on Monday. Members of Iowa's congressional delegation Senators Tom Harkin and Chuck Grassley joined him.
