DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - The manager for seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong says Armstrong plans to ride in RAGBRAI.
Manager Mark Higgins says Armstrong will take part in a portion of the 39th annual bicycling event through Iowa. It crosses through the state from July 24-30.
Armstrong will likely ride for two days with his Livestrong team through central Iowa. The ride, which starts at the Missouri River in western Iowa and ends at the Mississippi River, is sponsored by the Register.
The event attracts thousands of bicyclists each year and will stop in Coralville, among other stops.
