NORTH LIBERTY- In the interest of accommodating the thousands of visitors to the community as the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) stops in North Liberty on Thursday, July 24, the North Liberty RAGBRAI Committee has added more public parking areas to the venue.

Visitors can access free parking on the hard surface areas off Pacha Parkway, located near the northeast corner of the intersection of Highway 965 and Penn Street. The public may also park in the grass area along Liberty Way between Washington Avenue and Jones Boulevard, where there is a $5 parking fee. This lot can be accessed from Highway 965 by turning west on Zeller Street and then north on Washington Avenue to Liberty Way. The parking area lies to the west of Washington Avenue, along Liberty Way.

A free shuttle bus will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. through the city of North Liberty, stopping near these public parking areas as well as at all major RAGBRAI camping areas, Fesler's, Inc. on Highway 965, and at the North Liberty Community Center, which is the main venue for North Liberty's organized RAGBRAI activities.
