NORTH LIBERTY - Come with us as we explore this growing community. Since the 2000 census, North Liberty has grown by 86-percent. We talk with community leaders and find out how they plan to keep up.

Then we visit a locally owned business thats helping working families put food on the table. Hear from the family who purchased the business and the history behind this historic store.

Our Town follows two women who are walking to cure breast cancer.
We go along with them as they train for their 60-mile journey.

"The goal is to eliminate breast cancer. I think with all the money they are raising and giving it to research and prevention and treatment, I think they will get to that goal," said Lexie Just, Walking for a Cure.

After that we visit North Liberty's Community Center. With a range of recreational activities available, this is the place to hang out in Our Town.

"The kids love to take advantage of the library and in the winter time we take advantage of the track and court inside and they do sports leagues with the kids to introduce them to different things," said Steve Schrepfer, Community Center Member.

Then learn why the North Liberty Library checks out cake pans. With one of the largest collections in the state, this is the place to go if you're baking a cake.

We end our tour with a ride in this celebrity semi. Find out why this local trucking company has close ties with the Hawkeye Football team.

"It's very special to us. We hold it near and dear. Our employees are welcome to tailgate out of the trailer at the north end of Kinnick Stadium," said Dan Gerot, Chief Operating Officer.
