DUBUQUE, Iowa - Dubuque's Bell Town Theater has been the home of live community performances for more than a decade, but for the first-time ever it is putting on a summer, high school program featuring the "school edition" of the 2004 Tony Award winning musical, "Avenue Q."

The school addition is a tame rendition of the saucy show. This performance requires strong actors and singers… and puppeteers too.

"It's really, really fun to watch. Because you can see the puppets, the inanimate objects taking on the characters through the facial expressions of the people handling them. It's really, really a neat thing," production director Sue Flogel said.

"Avenue Q School Edition" opened June 6th at the Bell Tower Theater.
The show runs this week end Sunday. Tickets are twelve dollars each.
