40-Year Hobby Leads to 2,200 Piece Collection

DYSART, Iowa—Dysart Development Corporation President Dwayne Luze started collecting toy tractors as a little boy with his dad. His collection has never stopped, and now fills up two rooms in his home.

"There's not a duplicate in this room," said Luze.

In addition to just collecting the tractors, he also rebuilds and repaints them. He says he has around 2,200 tractors, but is still looking for some more.

"Some numbers of Allis-Chalmers, Minneapolis Moline, John Deere, that I go to toy shows for, said Luze.

He says although his wife is fine with his collection, he has to be sneaky when bringing another toy tractor into the house.
