Winner Declared in Close Race for Statehouse

CEDAR RAPIDS - The Linn County Auditor says a tight race for a seat in the Iowa state house finally has a winner. Republican Renee Schulte has defeated incumbent Art Staed by 13 votes in house district 37. Staed requested the recount about two weeks ago and a winner had to be finalized by tomorrow.
Monday, Linn County Auditor Joel Miller will present the report to the board of supervisors, saying Schulte won.
