Edwards Blasts Clinton on Iran

By Scott Sanborn

CORNING (AP) - Democrat John Edwards is blasting rival
Hillary Rodham Clinton for voting to designate Iran's Revolutionary
Guard as a terrorist group.

Edwards says the vote is part of a march toward military action
against Iran that reminds him of the lead-up to the Iraq war.

Edwards, speaking yesterday at a high school in southwest Iowa,
says he expected such a stance from Republicans, not from a fellow
Democrat.

The former North Carolina senator says that as a result of the
resolution, Bush declared the Revolutionary Guard a terrorist
organization that's helping Iran get weapons of mass destruction.

Clinton was the only senator running for president to support
the revolutionary guard measure. She has said Democrats reached
across party lines so that the resolution would clear the way for
sanctions, but also pressure Bush to negotiate with Tehran.
