Iowans have never elected a woman into the governor's position, US Senate or US House. A new effort hopes to change that, and have women represent 50% of political offices in the state. We talk with women in politics who are recruiting the next female leaders in Iowa. And what happens after the bell rings for most kids in the Cedar Rapid area? The Afterschool Alliance wants to keep kids connected, reduce the stress on working families, and extend the learning day. We talk with a national ambassador for the Alliance about what the needs are here.
