WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — A Des Moines area radio DJ has been charged with disorderly conduct after a profanity-laced argument at a Little League baseball game, which police say became so out of control that the coaches decided to call the game.
The Des Moines Register on Wednesday reports West Des Moines police arrested 51-year-old Steven Brill after he allegedly argued with spectators during his son's game on Saturday.
Brill is an on-air personality for Citadel Broadcasting, and is known as "Catfish" on KJJY-FM.
In a statement to the newspaper, Brill claims other parents cursed at him first while he was talking privately with his wife about concerns that a young player was injured.
A telephone message from The Associated Press left for Brill at the radio station on Wednesday was not immediately returned.
