MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (AP) — Police in Marshalltown are investigating the theft of more than 340 bronze vases from graves at a Marshalltown cemetery.

Police say the vases are valued at $68,000. The Times-Republican in Marshalltown is reporting that the vases were taken from Rose Hill Memorial Gardens sometime April 16 or 17.

In most cases, the vases were owned by relatives.

The investigation is continuing but police say they have little to go on.
