Justin Foss

Justin Foss joined the KCRG-TV9 team in September of 2007. Before moving to eastern Iowa, Justin worked at KIMT News 3 in Mason City, Iowa, for nearly five years as a reporter and weekend anchor.

During his career, he has done a range of stories from sitting down with nearly every presidential candidate from the 2004 and 2008 elections to sharing the story of a woman who put an ad in the newspaper looking for squirrels.

Justin’s professional travels include a trip to Mexico. He followed the Minnesota Army National Guard as they patrolled the U.S.-Mexico border near El Paso, Texas.

He has earned several awards for his stories from the Iowa Broadcast News Association, including first place awards for reporting and feature writing.

Justin grew up in Minnetonka, Minn., a suburb of Minneapolis.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.

His personal interests include playing hockey; waterskiing; and music. He performed with several bands and orchestras as a percussionist in high school and college. Justin married his college sweetheart in August of 2006.
