Dozens of Tenants Displaced After Massive Apartment Fire

Cedar Rapids - An apartment fire leaves several residents homeless today.

Cedar Rapids fire fighters were called to the Cedar Ridge Apartments on Blair's Ferry road around 12:30 a.m.

There were reports of smoke in the hallway. The blaze started in a wall between two bathrooms.

Twelve units suffered significant damage.

Over a dozes residents were displaced, but no one was injured. They are currently being assisted by the Red Cross.

The fire is under investigation.
