CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - One man is in jail after a report of shots fired in Cedar Rapids, but police don't know if he's connected to the shooting.

Just after noon Sunday, officers were called to the corner of Washington Avenue and 15th Street SE where they found a handgun. They say they later found two houses that had been shot at in the 1200 block of 3rd Avenue SE.

Police say they had a description of the suspect, and after brief foot chase, arrested 22-year-old Daevon Evans of Chicago, Illinois. He's charged with Interference with Official Acts and Possession of Marijuana.

Again, police still aren't sure if he is connected with the shooting. No one was injured.
