CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- A group of 8 to 12 year-olds in Cedar Rapids thwarted a fake attack from zombies to learn real life lessons.

The Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department hosted a two week day camp for Spring Break to prepare kids for the zombie apocalypse. The zombie aspect is simply a fun way to teach kids some basic survival skills, like teamwork, strategy and resource management.

The camp culminated with a mock zombie attack, with volunteers dressed up as zombies. Watch the video to see how the attack went.
