Yellowbook Restructuring to Lay Off 19 in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS - A restructuring announced this week by Yellowbook will eliminate 19 positions in the company’s Cedar Rapids operations.

The restructuring will eliminate some 70 positions companywide as Yellowbook “continues to transform to a 360-degree marketing company offering marketing services to small businesses beyond yellow pages,” according to a statement released Friday, Jan. 28. It did not indicate the other locations to be affected.

The affected employees will be provided with outplacement services, the company said. Yellowbook will continue to hire for telephone media consultant positions in Cedar Rapids, the company said, as its inside sales team continues to grow.
