MOSCOW, Iowa (AP) — A worker has been injured in an explosion at an asphalt plant in eastern Iowa.
The Muscatine Journal reports that the accident occurred Monday morning at a Wendling Quarries plant in Moscow.
The Muscatine County Sheriff's Office says 41-year-old Kyle Gottschalk, of Lowden, was flown to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Wendling Quarries safety director John Kulter says Gottschalk suffered burns and other injuries but is doing well after the accident.
