Woman Injured in Highway 30 Crash

  • Photo
LINN COUNTY, Iowa - The Linn County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash that hospitalized a Cedar Rapids woman Monday night. Linn County Deputies, Atkins Fire and Area Ambulance responded to the crash on the east bound off ramp from Highway 30 to 16th Avenue SW around 9:39 p.m.

Deputies say 55-year-old Sarah Moore of Cedar Rapids was east bound on the off ramp when her vehicle left the roadway, entered the south ditch and overturned, coming to rest on its wheels. Moore was transported to St. Luke's Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. An 8--year-old passenger in the vehicle was not injured in the crash.

Both Moore and her passenger were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Deputies say weather conditions likely caused Moore to slide off the road. The crash remains under investigation.
