Woman Dies After Jumping From Moving Amtrak Train In Southwest Iowa
STANTON, Iowa (AP) — Authorities suspect a woman died after jumping from a moving Amtrak train in southwest Iowa.
Radio station KJAN says Montgomery County deputies were dispatched to Stanton around 9:50 p.m. Monday. They found the woman's body lying near train tracks. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman's name hasn't been released, pending notification of relatives. A death investigation is continuing.
Stanton is a town of about 690 people in southwest Iowa's Montgomery County.
