IOWA COUNTY, Wisconsin - The Iowa County Sheriff's office said a 22-year-old man suffered severe injuries in a single vehicle crash Saturday night.

In a news release, the sheriff's office reports Trevor Trace of Linden, Wisconsin was traveling east on Highway A near Sand Hill Road in Mifflin Township. Trace lost control of his vehicle and struck a guardrail, the release said. Trace was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car.

Trace was taken to an area hospital and later air lifted to University of Wisconsin hospital in Madison.

The sheriff's office said speed and alcohol are contributing factors in the crash.
