Waverly Man Killed In Waterloo Motorcycle Crash
WATERLOO, Iowa -- A Waverly man was killed Friday morning after the motorcycle he was riding struck a utility pole in Waterloo.
According to Waterloo police reports, officers were called to the intersection of Rainbow Drive and Hackett Road at about 1:52 a.m. Friday, and found that a motorcycle had struck a utility pole.
The Waverly man, who hasn't yet been identified by police, died at the scene. Witnesses said he was westbound on Rainbow Drive at a high rate of speed before the crash. He was not wearing a helmet, police said.
