WAUKON -- A 60 year-old man is accused of stabbing a Waukon police officer with a screwdriver.

Raymond Nelson, of Waukon, faces several charges, including 2 counts of assault on a peace officer and one count of domestic abuse.

The Allamakee County Sheriff's Office says police responded to a home on Lyle Drive in Waukon just before midnight Saturday night on a report of an assault.
