Waterloo Police Seize Loaded Handgun from Felon
WATERLOO, Iowa - Waterloo Police said they seized a loaded handgun from a felon Tuesday night.
According to a press release, around 7 p.m. Tuesday, officers with the department's Violent Crime Apprehension Team were conducting a weapons investigation in the 800 block of Logan Avenue. Officers approached 22-year-old Shevin D. Caston after noticing a large object in his shorts' pocket. Police searched Caston and found a loaded, 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
Caston faces charges of possession of a firearm as a felon and carrying weapons. He remains in custody at the Black Hawk County Jail on a $7,000 bond.
