Waterloo Police Searching for Man in Connection with Shooting

WATERLOO, Iowa - Waterloo Police are looking for a man in connection with a deadly November shooting.

Officers say Daequan Campbell, 18, died of gunshot wounds after his vehicle slammed into a garage of an apartment building in the 1200 block of Langley Road.

Police issued a warrant for the arrest of Perquondis Holmes, 23, of Waterloo on felon in possession of a firearm charges Tuesday. They say he isn't facing charges right now in Campbell's death.

Witnesses say they saw Holmes shooting a gun during the incident. Holmes is barred from possessing firearms because of a 2007 conviction for intimidation with a weapon.
