Waterloo Police Investigate Shooting

WATERLOO, Iowa - Waterloo police are investigating a late night shooting sent one man to the hospital. The victim walked into the emergency room on his own.

Police were called to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo after the report of a gunshot victim. Information from the victim took them to an apartment at 416 Sullivan Avenue in Waterloo shortly after 11:00 p.m on Friday.

As of Saturday morning, the victim was still in the hospital being treated for his wound. Waterloo police say the investigation into Friday night's shooting is ongoing.

Police have not released the name or condition of the victim because families have not been notified.
