Waterloo Police Investigate Shooting
WATERLOO, Iowa - Waterloo Police are investigating a shooting at Veridian Credit Union, 1616 LaFayette Street in Waterloo. Police say they responded to the credit union for a reported shooting and possible robbery around 9:15 p.m. Thursday.
When officers arrived they found 56-year-old Thomas Freiburger of Manchester with a gunshot wound in his stomach in the parking lot. Emergency officials brought the man to the hospital for treatment. Police say he suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Waterloo Police have not released any information on any suspect or suspects in the shooting. They say they believe the shooting was an isolated incident, but ask people to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings.
