Waterloo Police Investigate Homicide

WATERLOO, Iowa - Shots went off in the 300 block of Albany Street in Waterloo early Saturday morning, killing a 26-year-old man.

Someone called police saying a man was on the ground at 343 Albany Street. Officers also heard that a person had possibly been shot inside a house at that address.

Once at the home, police found one body on the ground inside the porch. Police identified him as 26-year-old Anthony Delano Gardner of Des Moines, Iowa. He died at the scene.

An autopsy is pending at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Ankney. No arrests have been made. This homicide investigation is continuing.
