Waterloo Police Find Sawed-Off Shotgun In Car

WATERLOO, Iowa -- Waterloo police said they found a sawed-off shotgun in a car last Friday night.
According to a news release, officers with the department's Violent Crime Apprehension Team were on foot patrol in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 65 Conger St. at 11:08 p.m. on Friday. Police said they observed a group of subjects in the parking lot and a man sitting in the back seat of a vehicle they recognized as 20-year-old Patrelle J. Green-Bowman, of Waterloo.
Police said Green-Bowman left the vehicle and began to walk away as officers approached. The officers observed a sawed-off shotgun in the car where Green-Bowman had been sitting and took him in to custody.
Green-Bowman now faces charges of felon in possession of a firearm and possession of an offensive weapon.
