Waterloo Man Hit Over the Head With 2x4

WATERLOO, Iowa - A Des Moines woman is accused of hitting a man over the head with a 2x4.
Waterloo police were dispatched to 218 Ninth St. at 11:57 p.m. Thursday for a report of an assault. Officers located the victim, 48-year-old James Sagert, of Waterloo, who was bleeding from a large cut on his forehead. Police learned that 53-year-old Lenora Slick had hit Sagert with a 2x4.
Slick was taken to the Black Hawk County Jail where she faces one count of willful injury. Sagert was transported to Allen Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
