Warmup Today, But Another Storm On Way Thursday

  • Photo
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- It'll be warmer than usual today, but another storm is expected to impact Eastern Iowa Thursday.

KCRG-TV9 meteorologist Kaj O'Mara says highs in the southern part of the KCRG viewing area could easily reach 50 degrees today, and northern counties can expect highs in the lower 40s, with winds of 10 to 20 mph keeping things moving.

Things cool off a bit for Thursday, with highs in the middle to upper 30s.

The challenge could come Thursday. A storm system is set to bring a mixture of snow, rain and ice to the state. Specific forecasts haven't yet been issued because the storm system is still forming.

Stay with KCRG-TV9, and the KCRG mobile app for the latest on Eastern Iowa weather conditions.
