CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - It's felt like spring for several days now, but Tuesday marks the official start to the season.

The early warmth is translating into early revenue for local lawn and landscape businesses. Greg's Lawn and Landscaping, for example, is getting a good start on what they say will be a great season. They plan to have crews out fertilizing this week with maintenance crews out next week.

The President of Greg's Lawn and Landscaping, Greg Scharf, said his company is coming off of a tough winter. He said they only brought in a third of the revenue they're used to.

The mild winter does have a positive side. Scharf said Landscapers are able to start a little bit earlier because they haven't had the frost in the ground.
