DES MOINES, Iowa - Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan will be making a final campaign pitch for Iowa voters support on Monday – roughly the same time that President Barack Obama is holding a campaign rally several miles apart in the Capitol city.

Ryan’s 5:30 p.m. victory rally at the Elliott Aviation facility will be part of a five-state campaign swing that also will include stops in Nevada, Colorado, Ohio, and the congressman’s home state of Wisconsin.

Doors open for the Ryan victory rally at 2800 McKinley Avenue in Des Moines at 3 p.m. and the program is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m. Tickets may be obtained by visiting their site here.

Meanwhile, Obama for America campaign officials issued a news release announcing that Obama and his wife, Michelle, will end their 2012 re-election campaign in Iowa -- “the state where it all began four years ago” – at an event in the East Village area west of the Iowa Capitol building.

The Obamas will be joined by rock musician Bruce Springsteen at an event that is free and open to the public, with doors slated to open at 4:30 p.m. at East Grand Avenue and E. 15th Street.
