Vietnam Traveling Wall Makes a Stop in Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The cold and rainy weather didn't keep people from visiting a Vietnam memorial in Dubuque. The memorial is a traveling, replica of the Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. but at half of it's size.

58,272 names are embedded on the traveling wall, with the youngest just 15 years old. The wall gives people across the nation the chance to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

"One thing for Vietnam veterans like myself and such, it's so meaningful because due to our ages right now this maybe the last chance to say and honor our brothers and sisters on the wall. " Said Bob Bucko of the Dubuque Veterans Freedom Center.

The wall only travels the country April through November and is scheduled to travel to Valley Center, Kansas after Dubuque.
