CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Columbus Junction Police Department has confirmed the identity of one of the people who died in a structure fire over the weekend.

Timothy L. Miles, 52, of Columbus Junction and one other person died in the incident, according to authorities. The other name is being withheld pending notification of family.

Paul Buffington, 76, was transported by air to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Percy Taylor, 48, was also injured but refused treatment at the scene.

The State Fire Marshall’s Office and the Louisa County Sheriff’s Department are still investigating what caused Saturday’s blaze. Authorities say it could be weeks before they can determine what happened.
