CEDAR COUNTY -- A stretch of I-80 in Cedar County is back open after a semi fire forced a shutdown.

The Iowa DOT shut down the eastbound lanes between exit 259 and 265 before 6:00 am Friday.

A semi caught fire in that stretch, forcing traffic to detour onto secondary roads.

There's no word yet on what caused the semi to catch fire or whether anyone was hurt.
