COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) — Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan will be in western Iowa for two campaign events.

Ryan will hold a rally just after noon Sunday at the Bass Pro Shop in Council Bluffs. Later in the afternoon, he will attend a rally at Bev's on the River in Sioux City, where he will be joined by country music singer Mark Wills.

Ryan's visit comes just a little more than two weeks before the Nov. 6 election as the presidential campaign focuses on Iowa and eight other swing states.

Jill Biden, the wife of Vice President Joe Biden, made a campaign stop in Mason City on Friday.
