IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — The University of Iowa officials will reseat ticket holders at Kinnick Stadium for just the second time starting in 2014..
The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports that most season ticket holders won't need to pay more to stay where they are. But about 1,600 seats near the south end zone will now require a $50 contribution by 2014.
The school is also increasing the amount that fans need to donate to reach recognition levels required for certain premium tickets
Mark Jennings, an associate athletics director, says the school is increasing its giving levels to keep pace with the rising costs of operating an athletic department.
The stadium's first reseating came in 2006.
