CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- Each year, the United Way holds a Day of Action to recruit volunteers for various programs and events. This year, leaders from the United Way of East Central Iowa decided to go digital for this special recruitment.

United Way needs over 400 volunteers to help youth in our community.
As school gets under way they need tutors, mentors, and people willing to take time out of their day to read to children. The Virtual Day of Action allows you to go online and sign up for a number of volunteer opportunities in minutes. Some are recurring, others just one day, times and locations vary. Once you register, someone should contact you within 24 hours to help find a time and school that works best for you.
