BURLINGTON, Iowa (AP) - Burlington police say two teenagers have been arrested for allegedly starting a fire at an elementary school.

Police say two 13-year-old boys were charged on Monday with second-degree arson. They're accused of starting a fire at Corse Elementary School on Sunday.

Firefighters responding to a fire alarm at the school discovered a fire on the roof and smoke in the hallways. The fire was quickly extinguished. Damage is estimated at less than $10,000.

The two boys were taken to a juvenile detention center pending a court appearance. The Associated Press generally doesn't identify juveniles accused of a crime.
