ELKADER, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say two people have been hospitalized after their plane crashed in northeast Iowa.
The Dubuque Telegraph Herald reports that the Cherokee 6300 single-engine plane crashed around noon Saturday in a wooded area near the Elkader Municipal Airport.
Clayton County Sheriff's officials say it's not yet clear why the plane went down. The two people on board were taken to a hospital in Rochester, Minn., but their conditions have not been released.
