Two Grand View University Wrestlers Hospitalized After Crash
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Two wrestlers from Grand View University were hospitalized after a car crash while driving back to Des Moines from Ames.
The Des Moines Register reports that Isaiah Tatum and Chad Lowman had gone to Ames Sunday to watch a wrestling meet between Iowa and Iowa State.
Grand View wrestling coach Nick Mitchell says Tatum was in stable condition, and Lowman was expected to be released from the hospital on Monday.
Lowman, who is Mitchell's cousin, won a national title for the Vikings last season at 157 pounds. Tatum was an NAIA runner-up in 2013 at 149 pounds. He's ranked No. 1 this season. Both wrestlers are seniors.
