Two Charges in Waterloo Firearms Case

WATERLOO, Iowa - Two Waterloo residents face weapons charges after police searched their home.
Members of the Waterloo Police Department's Tactical Unit served a search warrant stemming from a firearms and narcotics investigation at 2621 Randolph St. on Monday. Police seized a 9mm semi-automatic handgun, a .38 caliber revolver, ammunition and a quantity of ecstasy.
As a result of their investigation, police arrested 26-year-old Malcolm R. Leflore and 25-year-old Teshia Smith. Leflore faces charges of felon in possession of a firearm, interference with official acts involving a firearm, possession with intent to deliver ecstasy and drug tax stamp violation. He was also wanted on several probation violation warrants and a warrant for failure to appear. Smith faces one county of aiding and abetting a felon in possession of a firearm.
