CEDAR RAPIDS - Two Cedar Rapids convenience stores were robbed in less than an hour early Thursday morning, police said.

Both cases involved two men wearing Halloween-type masks, and police planned to review surveillance video to see if the hold-ups were connected. No one was injured.

Around 12:25 a.m., officers were called to an armed robbery at Kwik Shop, 2904 Center Point Rd. NE. Employees at Kum & Go, 3132 First Ave. NE, reported the second robbery around 1:20 a.m.

Lt. Charlie Fields said a handgun was displayed in both cases, but no shots were fired.

No other information was immediately available.
