Two Arrested in Fayette Co. After Grow Operation Bust

FAYETTE COUNTY, Iowa - Fayette County authorities said they shut down a marijuana grow operation this week.
As a result of a week-long investigation between the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, Oelwein Police Department and Iowa Department of Correction Services Probation Office, police conducted a search at 10735 50th St. on Tuesday. The residence is located about four miles north of Stanley.
Police said they found a grow operation inside the home and seized 13 gallon-sized containers holding processed marijuana valued at more than $5,000. Authorities also recovered seven marijuana plants, a quantity of meth, Oxycontin, grow lights, a portable green house, scales, computers, two firearms, several jars of seeds and 30 other items of paraphernalia.
Arrested in the investigation were 31-year-old Daniel L. Wilson and 26-year-old Felicia M. Wilson, both of Stanley. Both subjects face seven counts of Iowa drug tax stamp violation, manufacturing of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Felicia Wilson has been released on a promise to appear and Daniel Wilson remains in custody on a $25,000 bond.
