PELLA, Iowa -- Spring snow has produced some strange looking sights... sights like snow-covered tulips in Pella.

The Pella Tulip Time festival is underway, despite the snowy weather.
It's been a weird last two years for the festival. Last year the tulips blossomed too soon, leaving Pella with a tulip free-festival, and this year they are covered with snow.

"I'm sad for all the people that traveled here and the vendors... But I like to look at the trees in the snow, so looking at the tulips today is also kinda cool," Pella resident Amy De Jong said.

Even with the snow, the Pella Tulip Time Festival will run through Saturday.
